There are moments in life when we realize we have been waiting—not because we were lost, but because the time was not yet right.
This painting emerged during a season of renewal. As it developed, I resisted the urge to force it into becoming something it was not. Instead, I allowed it to reveal itself, one quiet layer at a time. Only after living with it did I understand what it wanted to say.
For me, Coming Out of the Shadows speaks of the courage to be seen.
Not with loudness or certainty, but with authenticity.
The shadows are not something to fear. They are where growth often begins, where dreams quietly gather strength before they are ready to meet the light. Every new beginning asks us to step forward without knowing exactly who will understand us or where the path will lead.
As with many of my paintings, I do not believe there is only one image or one meaning hidden within it. Each person may discover something entirely different—a figure emerging, a bird in flight, a landscape, or simply a feeling that cannot be named.
Whatever you see, I hope it reminds you that there is a moment in every life when it is time to leave hesitation behind and step fully into your own light.
