From the midst of color and movement, the Phoenix seemed to appear—rising, unfolding, becoming.
The Phoenix has long symbolized renewal: the ability to emerge from what has been and begin again. That feeling seemed naturally present in this painting, not as something I intended to create, but as something I discovered after it appeared.
Flight of the Phoenix reminds me that transformation does not always require knowing where we are going. Sometimes we simply allow what has ended to fall away, spread our wings, and rise into what comes next.
