Sometimes we search for certainty before we are willing to move forward. We want to know where the path leads and whether the choices we make will take us where we are meant to go.
Right Direction reminded me that we don’t always need to know.
As this painting developed, its sweeping movement seemed determined to travel across the canvas. I worked with it, questioned it, changed it, and finally stopped trying to control where it wanted to go.
Then the title came: Right Direction.
Perhaps being in the right direction isn’t about knowing the destination. It is about trusting the quiet inner sense that says, keep going.
The path may curve. It may change. It may lead somewhere we never expected.
But sometimes the next step is all we need to see.
