Some invitations are spoken.
Others are simply felt.
As this painting unfolded, a gentle presence began to emerge—not demanding attention, but quietly drawing me closer. The title Come Hither arrived almost immediately, long before I understood why.
Perhaps that is how many of life’s most meaningful moments begin.
Not with certainty, but with curiosity.
Not with answers, but with an invitation.
When I paint, I rarely begin with a destination in mind. I trust the process enough to let the painting reveal itself over time. Sometimes recognizable forms appear. Sometimes they remain just beyond definition, inviting each viewer to discover something uniquely their own.
In this painting, you may see a face, a flower, a spirit, or simply the feeling of gentle movement emerging from stillness.
Whatever calls to you is the right answer.
To me, Come Hither is a reminder that beauty seldom forces itself upon us. It waits patiently until we are willing to pause, look more deeply, and accept the quiet invitation to see beyond the surface.
